ALL ROADS LEAD TO MILL CREEK REDLAND'S DRIVE THRU

MILL CREEK BURGERS; Burgers and more Burgers
Well thanks to last year’s “Stater Bros. Route 66 Rendezvous” Car Show our Burgers have become legendary; known for their fresh ingredients and amazing taste. Some even claim our “BIG ED” and “Jack and Bleu” Burgers are the reason Route 66 was built; but that is just a rumor. But considering all roads lead to our Redlands Mill Creek Drive Thru you can drive in and taste one for yourself, so maybe the rumors could be true!

Our Burgers start out with home-made buns we hand make, and bake fresh ourselves every day. We than hand form fresh ground Angus Beef into loosely formed patties that absolutely burst with flavor… not too much fat, but just enough for flavor; and NO FILLERS.

Beyond Burger Basics
At Mill Creek Cattle Company “Redlands,” we understand that it is all about the mouth-watering BBQ taste of our Smokehouse Meats; Ribs, Briskets, Tri-Tips, Chicken and Pulled Pork… but we also grill up some of the Inland Empire’s Best Burgers.

We start out with the freshest ingredients possible. This applies to our buns and sauces in addition to all of our burger toppings; everything has to be as fresh as possible.
We make our own bread dough, and then bake it into our own buns just about every day… sometimes several times a day. At Mill Creek we understand freshly baked buns make the best burgers.

We slice and prep all of our own topping… including hand leafed lettuce and hand sliced, vine ripened tomatoes. We also make our own sauces fresh, and from scratch; because once again, at Mill Creek we understand fresh toppings and sauces make the best burgers.

More importantly we use only 100% freshly ground, Angus Beef for our hand formed burger patties. No fillers are ever added, as we don’t want anything to overpower the flavor of the meat… and are patties are huge. We stack up to 1 full pound of patties onto the grill for our signature burgers.

Equally important; we hand make our burger patties so that we can assure tender, juicy burgers. We understand that loosely formed patties hold our sauces and cheese better… and make the best burgers.

We also hand slice, and prepare our own caramelized onions and mushrooms… everything as fresh as possible.

A Little “Mill Creek” Burger History
Mill Creek “Mentone” has produced their award winning “Brewster Burger” for countless years, so we were more than a little skeptical when one of our “Food Critic” friends claimed to make a better burger. How was that possible? We already used the best ingredients possible… so we initially laughed off “Big Ed’s” claim; until we tried his burgers!

Our “Double Stacked Burgers;” Big Ed’s First Trick
Using basically the same ingredients, and a few of his little “Burger Tricks” he worked up what has become several of our favorite burgers. Big Ed’s first little trick was simply in the way he cut our freshly made buns; cutting them into 3 pieces rather than the more typical 2.

As Ed explained; The “Double Stacked” bun allowed more “Bun Surface” to be toasted; doubling the buttery flavor of the grilled bun and providing additional bun surface to lock in the burger’s flavor. HEY; it sounds so simple, and it’s the exact same amount of bun, but Ed was right; it really does add additional flavor when paired up with a second burger patty. Oh yes, and the “Center Bun” helps hold the burger together. It was a great idea… so we now offer “Double Stacked Buns” with all our double patty burgers.

“Jack Daniels” Whiskey Glaze; Big Ed’s Second Trick
When we first started discussing “Burger Basics” with Ed he mentioned a “Jack Daniel’s Sauce” he had reworked from a Jack Daniel’s recipe. Ed brought in a small mason’s jar of his secret sauce, and we tried it on several of the burgers he grilled up; they were amazing. Everyone loved them! It was this “Whiskey Sauce” that became the focal point of several of our Redlands Mill Creek’s most popular burgers.

Sherry Glazed Onions; Big Ed’s Third Trick
Perhaps as impressive as Ed’s Whiskey Glaze is a little technique he demonstrated in caramelizing onions… simply amazing flavor! We don’t get the exact flavor Ed seems to get; but we make a lot more of them each day. If you like grilled onions, you are going to absolutely love these grilled onions; they work even better when combined with our grilled mushrooms.

Introducing Our Biggest Burger Ever; “The BIG Ed Burger”
So out of all of our work with Ed several new Mill Creek Burgers evolved. The first was the “Jack and Bleu,” and the second was an extension of Ed’s Double Stacked Bun series of burgers we call “Double Stacked” … oh, and the last was the “BIG Ed” Series of burgers. These are Double Stacked Burgers built up with 2 of our half-pound patties… and adding up to 1 full pound of fresh ground Angus Beef Patties! In all fairness, not even Big Ed can eat one of our “BIG Ed Burgers;” but we see loads of people who enjoy trying. It’s not impossible; just unlikely, and you better be real hungry!

SO WHAT IS ED’S SIGNATURE BIG ED BURGER?
Well our version includes 1-full pound of beef patties; which is 2 of our ½ pound patties stacked onto our toasted double stacked bun. It includes Dijon Mustard grilled into the burger patties as they grill, plus extra caramelized onions, grilled mushrooms, tomatoes, pickles, lettuce and a combination of “Whiskey Glaze,” “Creek Sauce” and Bleu Cheese. It’s an amazingly good burger… and yes it can be messy; but did we say it is really good?

IT'S TRUE; All Roads Lead to Mill Creek’s Drive Thru
Perhaps it is because of our new burgers that all roads lead to Mill Creek’s Drive Thru! We are not sure about the "All Roads Thing," but we are positive you will absolutely love our burgers… simply the Best Burgers in The Inland Empire.
